A few weeks ago, my friend Nikky from HealthNut Nutrition and I got together to make a few yummy recipes. Nikky happens to be an expert when it comes to breakfast. I always get so hungry when I watch her breakfast videos on YouTube. So for this video, I asked her to show me her top 3 quick and healthy breakfast ideas that you would normally make on a lazy day when you don't have much time for cooking. Boy, was I not disappointed. Everything turned out amazing and we devoured all the food we made in 10 minutes.
For Nikky's channel, I shared with her 3 lunch recipes that I love making when I'm short on time. You can check out the video HERE.
You know how I feel about green smoothies. #obsessed So I was definitely excited to try this one. It's packed with superfoods and tastes absolutely delicious. Cinnamon is one of those ingredients that I'm trying to incorporate more in my diet. It has amazing medicinal properties and is loaded with essential antioxidants. So I definitely approve of this breakfast.
To be honest, I think Nikky's taste buds and mine are related because we pretty much love the same kind of food. This avocado toast was a big hit. I loved how Nikky spiced it up by adding tomato and fresh basil. It took the dish to another level. Me enjoyed a lot.
Although I liked all the recipes we made, I have to admit this one was my favourite. I've made chia pudding many times in the past, but I never thought of adding yogurt to it (Nikky and I used coconut milk yogurt). What a difference did it make! Since we filmed this video, I've made this recipe twice already. I can't seem to get enough.
Just like me, Nikky is a big fan of superfoods as you can tell. She actually just launched her very first ebook this week: An Everyday Guide to 5 Superfoods, where she featured some of her favourite superfoods. I already had a chance to read the book and I loved it. Definitely check it out.
Don't forget to ahead over to Nikky's channel to see what lunch ideas I shared with her: watch here.
